My heart overflows with a noble theme. I recite my verses for the king. My tongue is like the pen of a skillful writer.
ልቤ መልካም ነገርን አፈለቀ፥ እኔ ሥራዬን ለንጉሥ እነግራለሁ፤ አንደበቴ እንደ ፈጣን ጸሓፊ ብርዕ ነው።
